Manam Koththi Paravai Tamil Movie review
Star Cast: Siva Karthikeyan
Direction: Ezhil
Music: D. Imman
Joining the long list of comedy capers in Kollywood is Manam Koththi Paravai. Interestingly director Ezhil has laced the romantic special with humour all through, that sticks to our hearts instantly.
Ezhil, who made films like Thullatha Manamum Thullum, Poovelam Un Vasam, Raja and Deepavali before , has ensured that a bunch of comedians led by Siva karthkeyan, known for his wits are enough to pull the strings.
Music is scored by D Imman while cinematography is by Suraj Nallusamy.
Newcomer Athmiya plays the female lead with Parotta Suri, Singam Puli, Ilavarasu, Ravi Mariya, Srinath, Chaams among others in supporting roles.
The movie is set in a rural village. At places, it resembles Kalavani a lot.
Kannan (Siva Karthikeyan) a simple youth loves his neighbour Revathy (Athmiya). Her father and her uncles are feared by al as they are gang men with big moustache running around with aruvals.
Kannan’s father (Ilavarasu) is a simple building contractor.
Kannan’s friends (Parotta Suri, Singam Puli and Deiva Thirumagan Kishore) comes to know of the romance and decides to unite them.
But Revaty’s wedding is fixed by her family with a politician. Kannan’s heart breaks.
Now the friends plan to end trouble by kidnapping Revathy. But trouble begins here. The chase and search by Revathy’s family begins.
Siva Karthikeyan fits the role to a T. His comedy suits his character well.
Athmiya is pretty and walks away with honours. Their on-screen chemistry is good. Singam Puli, Parotta Suri. Srinath, Ravi Mariya play their part well.
Imman’s songs and background score are good and peps up the proceedings. Suraj Nallusamy’s camera captures the village in its pristine beauty.
Manam Koththi Paravai is a breezy cool venture and is enjoyable.
Verdict: Fun under the sun
