Husbands in Goa is a Malayalam movie directed by Saji Surendran and written by Krishna Poojapura, starring Jayasurya, Indrajith, Lal, Asif Ali, Bhama, Rima Kallingal and Remya Nambeesan. The film is the second production of UTV Motion Pictures in malayalam cinema, that was announced and features music composed by M. G. Sreekumar, whilst cinematography is handled by Anil Nair and is edited by Manoj.
Story :
Three husbands (Jayasurya, Indrajith and Asif Ali) are on a trip to Goa to take a break from their messy married lives with their dominating wives (Bhama, Rima Kallingal and Remya Nambeesan). During the trip, they meet a husband (Lal) who is on the verge of a divorce, which becomes a turning point in their lives. Things get more interesting when their wives join them in Goa and from then on, it is a cat and mouse game.

Lakshmi Rai’s excited about Kalpana
When an actor has a superhit, it becomes a bigger deal for him or her to be a part of its subsequent remakes. Lakshmi Rai, who was part of the 2011 Tamil sleeper hit Kanchana, too, is glad about being a part of its Kannada remake Kalpana.“We’ve finished shooting for the film and I know that there are great expectations from this film. Considering it did so well in Tamil, I’ve my fingers crossed,” says Lakshmi Rai, who says the film could release later this month, coinciding with Upendra‘s birthday.Meanwhile, on the special song that she was to do in Nagarjuna‘s Damarukam, she says, “I got to hear the song and I think Devi Sri Prasad has done a fabulous job. I couldn’t do it because I had some date issues. But, I’m sure the song will do extremely well,” says Lakshmi Rai.The actor will next be seen on screens in a special appearance in the bilingual Veerappan biopic, Attahasa. “I’ve been happy with the kind of films I’ve signed. I want to ensure that there are a mix of good scripts in all the four south Indian languages that I sign,” says Lakshmi Rai.
‘Powerstar’ Dr Srinivasan arrested by the Chennai Police
‘Powerstar’ Dr Srinivasan, who was on Friday arrested by the Chennai Police on charges of cheating a businessman of Rs 65 lakh, was remanded in judicial custody and lodged in Puzhal prison.
The doctor-turned-actor was arrested on a complaint by GU Balasubramanian, a businessman and proprietor of UBS International, who had approached the actor seeking Rs 10 crore to expand his business.In his complaint, Balasubramanian said that Srinivasan told him that he would have to pay him 5 per cent of the total loan amount as service charge and 1.5 per cent towards other expenses.
Subsequently Srinivasan took the money, but failed to obtain the loan and kept dodging the businessman. Based on the complaint, police registered a case under IPC Section 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating) and 506 (ii) (criminal intimidation) 27 Arms Act, and arrested Srinivasan.

Actress Priyamani is eagerly looking forward for September 21, the day her forthcoming flick ‘Charulatha‘ is slated to hit the screens.
The National Award winning actress has played conjoined twins in this movie, directed by debutant Pon Kumaran. Recently, the Censor Board cleared the film with a U certificate.
‘Charulatha‘ marks the comeback of Hansraj Saxena, who was once ruling the roost in Tamil cinema as the chief of Sun Pictures. Saxena is distributing ‘Charulatha‘ under his newly floated Sax Pictures banner.
