Nayantara Cought by customs For Smuggling

Actress Nayantara can’t blame her destiny: whatever she does, says or gets involved in becomes a ‘big news’ for the media. The media was abuzz with reports that the actress was ‘detained’ at the airport and was questioned for long hours by the customs officials at the Chennai Airport when she was returning from Bangkok along with her manager and make-up man.
Some unconfirmed reports even said that Nayan had been caught ‘smuggling several lakhs of rupees’ into the country.  The actress, on her part, rubbishes such reports and says that she doesn’t know as to who instigates such reports and gains what sort of ‘mileage’ through those baseless accusations.
Actress Nayantara, her manager Rajesh and make-up artiste Rajesh landed up at Meenambakkam Airport the other day and were reportedly ‘detained’ for a few hours by the customs officials who reportedly conducted ‘separate interrogations’ with the actress and the other two who had accompanied her in orde to corroborate the versions of all the three.
The news obviously created a huge buzz in the media as Rajesh is also into real estate business in a big way.  It turns out that it was Prabhu deva, from whom Nayantara had split a few months back, who introduced Rajesh to Nayantara and made him her manager.
Nayantara says that she was not ‘interrogated’ by customs officials and merely went through routine checks.  “It could happen to anybody,” she says patiently.

Aarya in ‘Varuthapadadha Vaalibar Sangam’

The Tamil remake of ‘Delhi Belly‘, in which Aarya will play the lead role, has been reportedly titled ‘Varuthapadadha Vaalibar Sangam‘. No prizes for guessing that the title has been inspired by a funny organization run by Kaipulla (Vadivelu) in ‘Winner‘.
To be produced by UTV Motion Pictures which made the original version, ‘Varuthapadadha Vaalibar Sangam‘ will be directed by Kannan, who helmed movies such as ‘Jayam Kondan‘, ‘Kanden Kadhalai‘ and ‘Vandhan Vendraan‘.
Besides Aarya, the movie will have many popular faces in pivotal characters. With the ‘Boss Engira Baskaran‘ hero playing the role played by Imran Khan in the Bollywood version, Santhanam will replace Kunaal Roy Kapur.
Premgi Amaran will reprise Vir Das, while Hansika Motwani and Anjali will do the characters of the air hostess and a journalist. The shooting is touted to kick start on May 7 in Chennai.
John Mahendran, who directed Vijay starrer ‘Sachein‘, has been entrusted with the task of penning dialogues for this film. Meanwhile, sources say though the title ‘Varuthapadadha Vaalibar Sangam‘ has almost been confirmed, names such as ‘Settai‘ and ‘Vai Raja Vai‘ are also under consideration

Nayantara’s loss is Amala paul’s gain
Rumours are rife that Amal paual has been roped in to play Jayam Ravi’s heroine in a movie to be directed by Samuthirakani after Nayantara was shown the red card.
The film is produced by Vasan Visual Ventures, which made films like Boss Engira Baskaran. Apparently, the makers initially opted for the sizzling Nayantara to star in the bi-lingual (Tamil-Telugu).
This didn’t quite work out as the latter reportedly demanded an exorbitant remuneration – though a source from the production house maintains that they couldn’t sign Nayan for the film only because accommodating her dates proved to be a huge problem.
Amala Paul enjoys a good market in Andhra post her Love Failure success and it is learnt that she is charging lesser than Nayantara.
