"Sher is bigger than Tiger"

Vivek Oberoi put his foot in the mouth once again a few days ago, when he commented, “Sher is bigger than Tiger”. Obviously, he was referring to his film Sher in comparison with Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger.

Followed rumours that Salman, who has a long-standing hate-hate relationship with Vivek (courtesy their war regarding Aishwarya Rai a few years ago), had got the latter ousted from Sher; which also stars his good friend and Bigg Boss mate Sanjay Dutt.

But nothing of that sort happened and Vivek stayed put in Sher and even tweeted that he started shooting for it this week.

To battle it out, a seemingly subdued Salman Khan is now said to be reviving his project Sher Khan with brother Sohail Khan at the helm of directorial affairs, to give a karara jawab (fitting reply) to bete-noire Vivek. It is learnt that for the first time, Salman Khan will be playing a superhero, whose special powers rest in his shoulder-length tresses. Uh-oh!

Bollywood publicist Dale Bhagwagar, who had earlier been the spokesperson for Vivek Oberoi said, “There is no comparison between Salman and Vivek. Both have their own places.” He further added, “Since time immemorial, spice and sensationalism have ruled Bollywood. But such gossipy friction only goes to up the equity of actors and keeps them in hot news and in public eye. One has to take it with a pinch of salt.”

The 13th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards might have missed the Khans and the Bachchans, but the event fever had strictly gripped the Bollywood fans across the nation. The starry evening witnessed thousands of Bollywood fans at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif in Son of Sardar Movie

The movie is produced by Ajay Devgan Films and UTV Motion Pictures. Music is scored by Sajid-Wajid and Himesh Reshammiya. The budget of the movie is around 30 crores and is due to release on 13 November 2012.
As ‘Son of Sardar’ releases during Diwali, the movie confronts competition from Yash Chopra‘s untitled movie, featuring Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles.

Katrina Kaif in Ek Tha Tiger

Yashraj Films have released the first look poster of Katrina Kaif in Ek Tha Tiger. The first poster that was released earlier, only featured Salman Khan. Even the teaser that was released last month, didn’t even offer a small glimpse into Katrina’s look in the film.

The new-born son of Shilpa Shetty has a name. The little baby has been named Viaan.

Informing the world about the name of her son, Shilpa wrote on her Twitter account, “Hey tweetos, Yes, its official, Did the naming ceremony today, our son is christened Viaan Raj Kundra. It means Full of life and energy.”
Even Shilpa’s husband and Viaan’s father Raj Kundra introduced his son to the world through his Twitter account as well. He wrote, “Please welcome twitter’s youngest user my son Viaan Raj Kundra. Be nice to him and he may reply.”
The son of Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra was born on May 21.
After the naming of the daughter of Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan took a lot of time, Bollywood stars like Aamir Khan and now Shilpa have not taken much time to decide the name of their new-born and spared the world of all the speculations.

Shahrukh Khan is not attending IIFA this year.

The biggest star of all Bollywood related award functions, Shahrukh Khan, whose mare presence makes any award functions a success, will skip the IIFA awards this year to be held in Singapore between 7-9 June.

It seems after accomplishing the target of successfully winning this year’s IPL T20 cricket tournament, Shahrukh wants to spend some time working seriously on his professional front, which is acting. During the IIFA weekend, Shahrukh along with his kids will be in London, where he will be busy shooting for Yash Chopra’s next movie.

While denying earlier reports that Shahrukh may attend this year’s IIFA awards weekend, a source close to the actor said, “The rumours of Shahrukh and his family being at IIFA has got many of his fans excited but the truth is that Shahrukh is in London shooting for Yash Chopra’s film”

The Bachchans are also not expected at IIFA this year. Aamir Khan anyway stays away from such events. And now with Shahrukh staying away, IIFA will be without big stars of Bollywood this year. Not only Shahrukh but all these big stars will be missed at IIFA this year. The only solace for the fans would be that they will get to see Salman Khan, who will be in Singapore between June 7 to 9.

Raj Malhotra in Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge, Shah Rukh Khan Is Coming Back..

Shahrukh Khan‘s career-defining role. As Raj Malhotra in Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge, Shah Rukh Khan won over legions of fans and spawned clones as well.

And now, as Mirror has learnt, the actor is set to revisit his iconic role in the film that marks the return of the high priest of romance to the genre. Out of the two different looks Shah Rukh sports in Yash Chopra’s to-betitled next, one is strikingly similar to that of Raj in DDLJ.

A source close to the project revealed, “The story takes a major leap of about 15 to 18 years. In the first part of the film, SRK will be seen as a young carefree youngster romancing Katrina Kaif. In the second part, he will be shown as a 40-plus man that is close to the way he looks now.”

Aditya Chopra, who has written the script, thought Shah Rukh Khan has a huge connect with his fans, especially from his DDLJ days and insisted on a look similar to his character in the film.

“Although no one quite knows the story of Yashji’s film, it is now known that Shah Rukh Khan will have two distinct looks. The second one, that of a man in his 40s, will be similar to the way he looks now. A lot of work will go into making Shahrukh Khan look exactly like Raj of DDLJ. SRK is very excited to play his younger self, and some of those portions have already been shot in London,” informed the source.

When contacted, the official spokesperson of YRF confirmed the news. Meanwhile, the film is all set for release during Diwali and work is in full swing, said the source, adding that since it is Yashji’s comeback film, no stone is being left unturned to make it the biggest blockbuster of the year.

Vidya Balan and Farhan Akhtar in Pyar Ke Side Effect

Vidya Balan and Farhan Akhtar are going to star in Pyar Ke Side Effect sequel known as Shaadi Ke Side Effects.

The makers of 2006 hit Pyar Ke Side Effects are planning a sequel of the film and this one will be named Shaadi Ke Side Effects. If sources close to the makers of the sequel are to be believed, the new film will not feature either Mallika Sherawat or Rahul Bose, who featured in the first film and will have a new pair of Vidya Balan and Farhan Akhtar in the lead roles.

The producer of the film Pritish Nandy said, “The sequel will be funny, clever, wild film, potraying love, before and after marriage. I have spoken to both Vidya and Farhan and both of them have liked the story of the film.”

Farhan Akhtar while confirming that he is doing Shaadi Ke Side Effects, said that he is very excited about the film. It seems Farhan Akhtar, who despite giving a hit like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, is still seen as one of the best director from Bollywood and not a huge star, hopes that working with one of the hot actresses of the day will help his acting career as well. He added, “I haven’t done a romantic comedy as yet. This should be fun.”

Vidya Balan on the other hand is very excited about working with Saket Choudhary, who will be directing the film. She added, “I had seen Pyar Ke Side Effects and loved it. Going by the story, Shaadi Ke Side Effects should be equally good.”

Pyar Ke Side effect was loved by audiences and they appreciated the work of Mallika Sherawat and Rahul Bose. This will be the first time the pair of Vidya and Farhan Akhtar will be seen on screen. Let’s see how it works.
